The idea of establishing Shree Swaminarayan Vidya Mandir School came to Sri Rambhai Dasharathbhai Patre in 1980. There was no school at that time in Ghodasar area. Children of Ghodasar area had to go outside Ghodasar area to study in Maninagar.
Rambhai Saheb Shri came up with this noble idea so that the children of the citizens of the area do not suffer. The school was inaugurated in 1988 by Gadipati Sant Sri Pujya P. P. Swami of Maninagar Swaminarayan Temple.
The citizens of the area became very happy and fear free to know that there is no school in Ghodasar area and now the school is going to be built from Kindergarten to Class 12. The school was started in the year 1990 with this noble idea of Rambhai Patre Sahib and the school is still functioning today.
Rambhai Patre Sahib himself was a professional builder. They have established many societies as well as banks in Ghodasar area. Rambhai Pathre Saheb’s life goal was to provide good education to the children of the area and did not want the children of the area to go out and face any trouble.
